Confirmation candidates from All Saints on the Hudson in Mechanicville raised funds for PerpetuaLife Care on Saturday, April 24 at Hometown Lanes in Mechanicville, NY. There was bowling, food and fun. Students and sponsors wowed each other with their bowling finesse. Dr. Jan Patterson was there from PerpetuaLife Care and commented on how nice it was to see that many of the sponsors were grandparents and former bowlers who really could play well. There was one student who had seven (7) strikes between the two games and over $1,500 was raised for PerpetuaLife Care.
PerpetuaLife Care works with parishes in the Albany Diocese on many projects to help people better understand God's design for fertility. One program is Gabriel Project, a "confidential and compassionate" program to help pregnant women most in need. PerpetuaLife Care also works with faith formation programs to integrate Theology of the Body into their existing curriculum and is starting to help parishes educate engaged couples on prayerful natural family planning as part of pre-CANA preparation.
